How different 3D sensors work
The 3D line laser profile sensor adopts the principle of laser triangulation. First, a laser beam is used to irradiate the surface of the object to be measured, and the reflected light passes through the optical lens group to form a light spot on the surface of the photosensitive element. When the detected surface is too high, the measurement laser spot position will move to the right; on the contrary, if the detected surface is lower, the measurement laser spot position will move to the left. The 3D line laser profile sensor uses not a point laser light source, but a laser line, and the measuring light laser spot is also a line, so it is commonly called a line laser.
Laser displacement sensor, one of the displacement sensors, is suitable for long-distance detection, so it gradually replaces the cable displacement sensor, and is used in industrial automation, transportation, steel, construction, docks, etc. that require automatic distance displacement measurement and position control. It can quickly and accurately measure the distance to the target, and the measurement results can be transmitted to the device through various interfaces for detection, control and other applications. At the same time, the control of the laser displacement sensor can also be completed through a computer or other devices connected to it.
